“Hey!”

“Oh hey.”

“How are you doing?”

“I’m alright.”

“It’s been a while hasn’t it?”

“Yeah.”

“What have you been up to?”

“Well, I went to brunch the other day. On Friday.”

“Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah, it was weird not having you there.

What about you?”

“Oh, um, I went to counselling on Friday!”

“Counselling for what? Like therapy?”

“Yeah, yeah!”

“Oh, nice.”

“Do you remember our brunch dates?”

“I do.”

“Remember how we always had to ask for extra napkins?”

“Haha, yeah. Because you’d always spill orange juice. Haha.”

“Haha yeah.

Yeah, we talked about the orange juice I kept spilling.”

“You talked about it in counselling?”

“Mmhm.”

“Oh!

…

What about it?”

“I’m gonna learn how to clean it up.”

“Oh!

…

Great!”

…

“I’m sorry.”

“For what?”

“I’m sorry that I kept spilling. I know how much you got irritated.

You don’t have to say you didn’t”

“I don’t care that you kept spilling.”

“Oh, well I’m sorry that I never had time to clean it up.”

…

“Thanks.

…

It’s nice that you’re making time for us.”
