Wine Tasting is a photography collection dedicated to portraying the ridiculous standards women must prevail to attain the male gaze. In this particular piece, it is in regard to wine and its instant effect to create a classy and sexy visual of someone, specifically to a woman. Wine has been turned into the exact opposite of classy in this scene, where excited fury and freedom take over the formal setting. The sophisticated symbolic value of wine is replaced with unbound female rage as the girls photographed unravel what their world could be if they catered to their own desires, not a man’s.
